hot spots issue.pdfWe are using a Creo (Kodak) Trendsetter. Both the model TS2637 (70-line) and the TSM (newer model 150). We are using the Fuji plates LHNN2 plates along with the exact same model G & J processing line (a model 125 HDX from Fuji). LP-DZ developer, LP-DRZ developer replenisher, and FN-6 finisher (also from Fuji). We are experiencing - for lack of a better term - missing image, or hot spots on the plates. We first looked at press chemicals and eliminated one product that we thought may have been it, but turns out after removing that from pressroom - problems still appear. Processors were new in 2012, and were fine until Nov 2013. The one processing line connected to the 70 trendsetter started experiencing problems, we ran many, many tests, many adjustments to laser settings, new drum parts etc. from Kodak on trendsetter with no fix. Gets better for a period of time, then gets worse. Rotated plates, before, and after, image on one, processed on other, and vice versa. Still intermittent problem goes on. We switched Trendsetters at the front of the line, trying to eliminate something. Problem still appears on the same processor, with front end changed, it eliminates the Trendsetter from the problem.
QUESTION: Has anyone had any similar problems with Fuji plates, or these processor models. Anything, any suggestions will be welcomed. Always appear at one side of plate, and mostly in same area. Fuji has been in and checked all settings, brushes, rollers, and I am told that it doesn't seem to be the processor either. Just looking for an answer, and in a bind to try to get it fixed and find a solution for this problem and get it solved as it is getting costly and annoying.
Screen shot of problem is attached - see missing image, missing type area - sometimes visible on plate before going to press - if not - it comes off at press startup
